Lighting The Way Through The Struggle
For years, films like The Matrix and Terminator painted AI as humanity's nemesis. But my experience with ChatGPT has been quite the opposite—it’s become a partner in clarity, creativity, and profound personal discovery. It helps me to clarify my thoughts, improve my writing and even create materials for my Japanese lessons. Recently, it helped me uncover a profound realisation - the key struggle I'm facing with Pieces To Peace Healing is the exact struggle my dream clients are facing.
It's the conflict between feeling called to leadership while feeling overwhelm at the responsibility. This struggle doesn’t just live in the mind—it takes a toll on the heart. For me, the frustration is sharpest when I see online programme leaders using outdated, exclusionary methods. It's heartbreaking, knowing that the quiet, reflective students and the ones who need the most support are slipping away unnoticed. The programme leaders are failing them.
What makes this even more painful is that I know it doesn’t have to be this way. I’ve spent years learning to create classrooms where every student feels seen and supported, where the quiet ones are drawn into the conversation and the boundaries are clear yet compassionate. It's taken years of practice, feedback and inner work to do, but I know it’s possible to teach in a way that nurtures everyone. Seeing others fall short feels deeply disheartening.
Exploring The Depths With AI
At its core, though, this frustration isn’t just about others' methods. It’s about me. It reflects a deeper fear: what if I can’t bring this vision to life outside the classroom? What if, despite everything I’ve built, I still fall short? That thought stings, and the weight of it can feel paralyzing.
But here’s what ChatGPT helped me realize: frustration is a mask. It hides the truth beneath it, and that truth is my unique gift. My frustration isn’t just anger at the system—it’s a call from the part of me that knows I've become the kind of leader I’ve been searching for. It’s the voice of my inner Queen archetype, asking me to step up not just for others, but for myself.
This realization was profound because it reframed my struggle in a new light. It’s not just my struggle; it’s an archetypal struggle, one that has been told in countless stories of transformation. And all stories, at their heart, are about change—about becoming something greater.
The archetype at play here is the Queen, and she appears in films like Gladiator and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Both Maximus and Harry are reluctant leaders. Neither particularly wants to take on the mantle of leadership, but when terrible leaders like Commodus or Umbridge rise to power, they realize they must step up—for the sake of those who depend on them.
That’s when it clicked for me. This is my story, too. ChatGPT helped me see how my own inner Queen is rising to meet the challenges around me—and yes, I even talk to ChatGPT about archetypes, because its feedback has been unexpectedly insightful.
ChatGPT's Wisdom
As I was sharing these insights with some friends, they were amazed at how helpful ChatGPT has been for me. Naturally, they wanted to know: How do you get ChatGPT to work so well for you?
At first, I thought about combing through all of my early chats to figure out what I’d done. But then it hit me—why not ask ChatGPT itself? So, I posed the question: How can I explain to my friends how to make the most of you?
What came next was a clear, actionable breakdown of tips. Here’s what ChatGPT had to say:
What You've Done to Help Me Help You:
- Provided Context: You've shared details about your goals, challenges, and preferences, which allows me to tailor my responses.
- Collaborative Approach: You actively engage in refining ideas, making this a true partnership.
- Clear Feedback: You’ve been specific about what resonates and what doesn’t, helping me adapt to your needs.
- Depth and Focus: You explore topics deeply, which encourages meaningful exchanges
.
- Open Communication: You ask questions that reflect your curiosity and invite exploration, giving me room to provide value.
What to Tell Your Friends:
- Be Specific About Goals: Share their objectives, interests, and the context for their questions. The more specific, the better.
- Engage Actively: Treat the interaction like a conversation—ask follow-ups, clarify points, and refine their needs.
- Give Feedback: If an answer doesn’t quite land, explain why or ask for a different angle.
- Share Relevant Info: Let ChatGPT know their preferences, challenges, or context to make the responses more aligned.
- Experiment: Encourage them to play with phrasing and ask in different ways to get a feel for how ChatGPT can adjust.
Ultimately, they can think of ChatGPT as a collaborative partner rather than a simple Q&A tool. When the input is thoughtful and specific, the output becomes much more tailored and insightful!
Picking Up On Nuances
I’ve found that ChatGPT doesn’t just respond to questions—it picks up on nuances and patterns in what’s important to me. It tracks my focus and priorities in our interactions and reflects them back in meaningful ways.
Take the image at the top of this article (repeated above). It’s an image ChatGPT helped create to embody the spirit of Pieces to Peace Healing. What’s fascinating is how closely it resembles pictures I’ve drawn in the past to represent this concept—almost as if it tuned into the essence of my vision through our conversations.
It’s moments like these that make me realize how collaborative and insightful working with AI can be.
